South Punjab Forest Company (SPFC) organize pre-bid meeting at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) to sensitize prospective investors

Faisalabad, Wednesday, August 16, 2017: South Punjab Forest Company (SPFC) in collaboration with Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) organized an inception seminar at FCCI, to sensitize prospective investors regarding the forestry opportunity by the Government of Punjab. The pre-bid meeting aimed to inform the investors about the salient features of the project and addressing their queries, if any. Furthermore, the pre-bid meeting also aimed to incorporate the suggestions made by investors in the bidding proposal.

Khawaja Muhammad Ilyas, President, DGKCCI, gave the welcome note and urged the business community of D.G. Khan to benefit from this lucrative investment opportunity. Tahir Rasheed, CEO, SPFC, delivered a presentation on the salient features of the investment opportunities in forestry sector in South Punjab by SPFC. According to him, ‘The Government of Punjab is offering a golden opportunity of afforestation and rangeland management to investors on 99,077 acres of its land for 15 years. Investment in forestry is highly lucrative with minimum risks, therefore investors should take advantage of it and the initiative will also contribute to the GDP at large.’

Sh. Muhammad Saeed, President, FCCI, gave the welcome note and urged the business community of Faisalabad to benefit from this unique investment opportunity offered by the Government of Punjab. He also highlighted the importance of forestry and conserving them for a better Pakistan. Tahir Rasheed, CEO, SPFC, delivered a presentation on the salient features of the investment opportunities in the forestry sector in South Punjab by SPFC. The presentation was followed by Q&A session. Engr. Ahmad Hassan, FCCI, gave the concluding remarks and hoped that the initiative will instill a positive change and contribute to the GDP.
